This position supports Project Surveyors and Licensed Land Surveyors by performing complex drafting, data processing, and computation tasks. The Senior Survey Technician plays a key role in transforming field data and research into accurate, complete, and compliant survey deliverables. This position is ideal for individuals with strong CAD proficiency, robust knowledge of land records, and growing capability in boundary and easement analysis under licensed supervision.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt"> </span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold">Responsibilities</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Technical Production & Mapping</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Prepare high-quality survey deliverables, including:</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Topographic surveys</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Exhibits, plats, and supplemental drawings</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Generate accurate surfaces, contours, and terrain models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Produce CAD drawings that meet company drafting standards and industry requirements.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Create 3D models and surfaces from point cloud data, lidar, or photogrammetric sources.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Perform field-to-office data reduction, data cleanup, and precise plotting of survey points.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Review own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.</span></li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Boundary, Easement & Title Support - Under the supervision of a Licensed Surveyor:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Review and interpret:</span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Title reports</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">CC&Rs</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Agreements, dedications, vacations</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Easement documents</span></li> </ul> </li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Calculate and plot boundary lines, easements, right-of-way features, and property dimensions.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Assist in resolving boundary elements using accepted surveying principles and legal frameworks.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Research property information, including deeds, Records of Survey, tract maps, parcel maps, and as-built documentation.</span></li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Field Data Analysis & Control Processing</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Process GPS and conventional field data using Trimble Business Center and other survey software.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Adjust and verify control networks; perform coordinate transformations under supervision.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Ensure correct application of coding conventions, attribute data, and quality checks.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Conduct limited field checks or site visits to verify critical information.</span></li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt"> </span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold">Education/Experience </span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) California, preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Experience with Trimble Business Center, required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Knowledge and understanding of all types of utility plans</span></li> </ul>
