This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver passionate about medical technology and service excellence.</p><p>This opportunity is a full-time, permanent position open to candidates based anywhere in the Greater Toronto Region, Ontario, working remotely.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b>:</p><p></p><p>The Field Service Engineer performs installations, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance of Abbott’s Vascular Division instrumentation.</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Perform technology installation, configuration, connectivity, calibration, safety/functional testing emergency repair, preventative maintenance, and product updates at customer site of the Vascular product lines.</p></li><li><p>Provides in-service training to clinicians on the use of Abbott Vascular technology platforms and accessories, primarily Coroflow and OPTIS systems.</p></li><li><p>Establish and sustain active communication link with CSC personnel, and provide daily support for all territories as required.</p></li><li><p>Provide comprehensive support for the sales organization’s efforts to include - but not limited to - repair and maintenance of demonstration equipment.</p></li><li><p>Perform modification and engineering updates at customer site.</p></li><li><p>Adhere to operating procedures.</p></li><li><p>Manage assigned spare parts at the appropriate inventory levels. Manage TSS Kits and individual spare parts inventory.</p></li><li><p>Performs field services by work order assignment in an efficient and professional manner, reporting and maintaining all service documentation and test results/findings in a service database in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Create and perform Customer Service Business reviews as required.</p></li><li><p>Recommend performance improvement strategies for territory.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with Sales Rep any concerns or recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Develop Achieving Service Excellence.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Required Education and Experience:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or Chemistry) is required.</p></li><li><p>1 to 3 years of experience in an electrophysiology or cardiology lab.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated familiarity with cardiac catheterization lab procedures and protocols.</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand and comply with company policies and applicable industry laws and regulations - Personal computing skills with ability to perform word <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">processing/spreadsheet</span> tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a diverse cross-functional team environment.</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a preceptor role.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Travel up to 75%.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Skills and Abilities:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated familiarity with electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization lab procedures and protocols.</p></li><li><p>Experience with integration and networking a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Compensation:</b></p><p>68, 250 $ - 100,100 $</p><p></p><p></p><p>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
