<div><p>Labcorp is seeking a <b>remote Cytogenetics Analyst</b> to join our team that’s based in Brentwood, TN.</p><p></p><p><b>Work Schedule:  Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm </b></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li><p>Perform FISH analysis, which includes analysis and imaging of digitized images</p></li><li><p>Cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images</p></li><li><p>Review of cytogenetic cases via computerized images and documents</p></li><li><p>Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis</p></li><li><p>Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature</p></li><li><p>Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results</p></li><li><p>Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment, software and applications to ensure proper functionality.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.</p></li><li><p>Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.</p></li><li><p>Reports any and all problems to the general supervisor in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Collaborates with general supervisor on protocol/policy development and review</p></li><li><p>Provides feedback to senior technologists on technical matters</p></li><li><p>Understands and complies with company policies and procedures</p></li><li><p>Maintain a safe work environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology</p></li><li><p>ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)</p></li><li><p>1 year or more experience in FISH and Chromosomes for Oncology Cytogenetics</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>2 years or more experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Job Standards</b></p><ul><li><p>In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and within a team environment</p></li><li><p>Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus</p></li><li><p>High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Able to pass a standardized color blindness test</p></li><li><p>Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs</p></li></ul><p></p><p>This role focuses on <b>onscreen FISH analysis</b> with <b>occasional chromosome work</b>, using digital platforms such as <b>Metasystems (Neon)</b> and <b>Applied Spectral Imaging (ASI)</b>.</p><p></p><p><b>No wet lab or bench work</b>—this position is fully analysis‑based.</p><p></p><p>At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
