PreSales Engineer Physical Security Overview:
The PreSales Engineer for Physical Security is responsible for on-site and remote pre-sales technical assessments, the creation of bill of materials and related specifications, develops detailed scopes of work documents, drafting of project hand-off documentation, and maintains continuity throughout the projects for our customers.
PreSales Engineer Physical Security Responsibilities:
· Provide the effective and comprehensive communications and documentation from the time of assignment through to a Project or Service hand-off, ensuring a clean execution and excellent experience for all involved· Support the Sales representative in consistently moving Opportunities forward · Excellence in the experience, thoroughness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned site assessments. Experience of owner and sales representative will be surveyed and measured from time to time· Listen, understand, and document customer or prospect needs and requirements· Become proficient in CWM Opportunities, Sell proposal application and pre-sales processes· Maintains expert level of RSI product and service knowledge and their applications· Assists the Sales representative with technical knowledge pertaining to the products and services offered by the company· Perform technical presentations that demonstrate how the products and services benefit and meet customer and prospect needs and requirements· Supports the Sales representative with frequent updates through excellent communication and detailed notes within ConnectWise· Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and schematics· Follow and support electrical codes, industry best practices and company standards· Become proficient in recording time efficiently and accurately within the sales cycle· Job duties other than those detailed above may be assigned for the ordinary conduct of business and may become a permanent element of this job description· Assist service team with advanced technical knowledge· Assess the strengths and limitations of current technology stack, as it relates to product offerings· Assist with the creation of technical best practice guides to serve the service team· Assist the sales representative(s) by maintaining margin in both product and service to deliver solutions within budget
PreSales Engineer Physical Security Qualifications:
· Physical Security field experience is required· Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware’s, and software· Associate degree or 4 years’ experience preferred· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical problems· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively· Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks· Familiarity with low voltage cabling and video monitoring solutions preferred About K Group Companies K Group is a locally owned and operated technology service provider that was established in Grand Rapids, MI in 1980.
