JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: The Cost Analyst will assist with financial support and analysis consisting of work order management, maintaining standard cost system and monthly reporting to management. The analyst will be expected to utilize technology to manipulate data to update multiple reports. In addition, the position must effectively communicate financial information to management to help assist in making future business decisions. Teamwork with peers, managers & leadership are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for providing financial support relating to the Operations function. It is imperative that all timelines are met and that departmental objectives are achieved. The key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assist with Work Order management and variance analysis
  • Provide support and analysis for cost accounting activities within financial operations area
  • Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs to assist management in decision making or other financial initiatives
  • Maintain G2 ERP standard cost system
  • Participate in Sarbanes Oxley 404 Audits
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly business review presentations
  • Participate with quarterly and annual external audits
  • Participate with annual Physical Inventory and year end Cost Roll activities
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reports and closing journal entries as required

Specific Duties

  • Work Order management and financial control
  • Maintaining product standard costing
  • Participate in monthly close process
  • Participate in audit preparation and 404 SOX testing pertaining to cost accounting activities

Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • Skilled in big data analytics
  • Experience with financially integrated ERP systems and Microsoft Office a must
  • Intermediate Excel experience and proven ability to data mine
  • Ability to assist in creating reports utilizing critical thinking skills

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Manufacturing experience in high tech industry is a plus
  • Team player – must be able to work effectively within cross-functional groups
  • BS Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with 0-2 years of Financial Analysis experience
  • G2 ERP systems experience is a plus
  • Cognos reporting experience is a plus
  • Budget Maestro reporting experience is a plus

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$60,980.79 - $91,471.19

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
