AU Finance Manager (CA/CPA Required)

Remote | Philippines | Full-Time Php Morning Shift AEST (Aligned with Australian Business Hours) Long-Term Remote Role

If you’re a high-performing finance leader who thrives on end-to-end operational ownership, pristine data reconciliation, and driving process automation within an expanding, fast-paced corporate environment — keep reading.

This isn’t a role for a "data entry bookkeeper" waiting for tasks to be assigned.

This is a focused, outcome-driven leadership position where you’ll own the entire financial operation, manage an offshore team member, and implement scaling controls to support a growing enterprise.

Why This Is a Dream Job

You’ll be working directly with a fast-growing, progressive Australian solar and renewable energy company who:

  • Champions Autonomy: Operates a fast-moving structure that values independent operators who keep pace accurately without hand-holding.

  • Values Your Leadership: Entrusts you with genuine operational ownership—giving you the mandate to lead full financial functions, set standards, and develop junior talent.

  • Respects Your Expertise: Focuses on clean outputs, strategic process optimization, and timely reporting rather than micromanaged task lists.

  • Builds Stability: Partnered with an established organization that properly supports, equips, and holds remote Filipino professionals to a high executive standard for long-term growth.

You’ll get career transformation, high-level visibility, and the freedom to engineer scalable workflows—without being stuck in a basic data-entry rut.

What You’ll Be Owning

This is a core financial leadership role covering full-function accounting, month-end closure, compliance, and team development. You aren't just running data through software; you are actively auditing general ledgers, protecting corporate audit trails, and building scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs).

You’ll take the lead on:

  • End-to-End Financial Operations: Oversight and execution of multi-stream customer invoicing, manufacturer warranty collections, STC sale reconciliations, purchase orders, and daily bank reconciliations.

  • Month-End Control & Reporting: Independently running stock reconciliations (PV and STCs), general ledger corrections, journals, accruals, prepayments, and delivering monthly reporting packs on schedule.

  • People & Capability Development: Directly managing, training, and coaching a Finance Officer; allocating daily workflows and setting clear performance KPIs to build a high-accountability culture.

  • Workflow Optimization & Automation: Identifying system inefficiencies to build out clean integrations between Xero, advanced Excel structures, and CRMs (HubSpot).

  • Risk & Australian Compliance Management: Securing complete financial integrity across all operational streams in strict accordance with Australian financial standards, including GST and BAS principles.

Requirements

This Role Is a Great Fit If You:

  • Are a Credentialed Financial Architect: You hold an active CA or CPA qualification—this is a mandatory requirement for this role.

  • Are a Full-Function Veteran: You have 5+ years of experience in a senior finance or finance manager role, having completely owned AP, AR, GL, and reporting cycles end-to-end.

  • Are an Advanced Xero & Data Operator: You don’t just enter data; you troubleshoot, correct, and automate inside Xero, using intermediate to advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis.

  • Are a Proven People Leader: You have direct experience managing at least one subordinate and know how to develop performance, not just supervise tasks.

  • Have Australian Market Literacy: You possess verified experience working with Australian business models and hold a solid working understanding of GST/BAS framework rules.

  • Are High-Accountability: You demonstrate extreme ownership. You deliver on deadlines without supervision, maintain 99%+ accuracy, and proactively investigate root causes to fix systemic errors.

  • Communicate with Elite Fluency: You express yourself with professional confidence and structural clarity across written and verbal English.

What Success Looks Like

  • After 30 Days (Foundation): You independently run the bank reconciliation cycle across all accounts, master every invoicing stream, establish a working communication cadence with leadership, and provide clear daily workflow direction to your Finance Officer.

  • After 60 Days (Proficiency): You successfully own a full month-end close with zero material corrections. Sales commissions and supplier rebates are calculated perfectly on time, and you have documented your first core finance SOP.

  • After 90 Days (Ownership): The entire finance function runs smoothly without executive intervention. Your Finance Officer's error rate is trending down, outstanding debtors are reducing via automatic follow-up, and you have fully implemented at least two documented process improvements.

Benefits

  • 100% permanent work-from-home/remote setup.

  • Convenient daytime shift matching Australian business hours (Morning shift PHT).

  • HMO coverage and comprehensive professional onboarding support.

  • Long-term career stability within a high-growth renewable energy sector.

Final Word

If you’ve ever thought: "I am a world-class Finance Manager who can clean up any ledger, lead a team, and optimize systems—I just want an organized client who respects my technical depth and gives me true ownership," this is that role.

Let’s build long-term success — together.
