<h2>Overview</h2> <p>Cotiviti is seeking a forward-thinking Technical Architect to join the team. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end technical architecture of a mission-critical Commercial & CMS audit platform — while simultaneously driving the platform’s AI-native transformation.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise architecture expertise, proven experience embedding AI and LLM capabilities directly into production software workflows, and the ability to lead, mentor, and elevate a cross-functional engineering team. You will own architectural decisions across Angular, ASP.NET/C#, Java, SQL Server, Teradata, and AWS — and spearhead an AI initiative designed to reduce auditor review time, improve documentation consistency, and unlock new levels of productivity across CMS audit operations.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p><strong>Architecture & Design</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and maintain the overall technical architecture for applications, platforms, or enterprise systems</li> <li>Evaluate business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions.</li> <li>Author and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for all major design choices</li> <li>Conduct design reviews, assess risks, and provide recommendations to leadership.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>AI-Native Development Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Architect AI feedback loops where auditor accept/reject signals retrain and improve model relevance scoring over time</li> <li>Implement AI governance frameworks — explainability, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop controls, audit trail — for all AI outputs influencing CMS audit findings</li> <li>Champion AI-assisted SDLC adoption across Team Unstoppable: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, and similar tooling</li> <li>Establish engineering productivity baselines and measure quantifiable AI-driven velocity improvements</li> <li>Run structured AI PoC programs that translate into shipped production features — not slide decks</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Leadership & Communication</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience leading, mentoring, and elevating teams of 8–15 engineers across mixed experience levels</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to translate complex architectural decisions into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders</li> <li>Experience producing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), component diagrams, data flow maps, and integration specifications</li> <li>Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across product, operations, security, and compliance teams</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Collaboration & Communication</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.</li> <li>Work with project managers to align timelines, updated with emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>12+ years of progressive software engineering experience with at least 4 years in an architect or technical lead role</li> <li>Proven delivery of large-scale enterprise platform architecture decisions across full stack (UI, API, data, cloud)</li> <li>Deep expertise in microservices architecture patterns — event-driven, API-first, DDD, CQRS, strangler fig modernization</li> <li>Strong data architecture skills across relational databases, analytical warehouses, and cloud data pipelines</li> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) including compute, storage, data, and security services</li> <li>Experience establishing and governing API design standards, testing practices, and CI/CD pipeline architecture</li> <li>Proven track record of leading legacy-to-modern migration programs without disrupting production operations</li> </ul>
