Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Functional Property Management Specialist II – Gunsmith/Armorer Responsibilities Include: </strong></p><ul><li>This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel (less than 10%).</li><li>Thorough knowledge and understanding of DS Special Protective Equipment.</li><li>Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff.</li><li>Proven ability to directly support logistic positions.</li><li>Assists in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programming and inventory accountability of all DS equipment deployed worldwide.</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Functional Property Management Specialist II – Gunsmith/Armorer – Gunsmith/Armorer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: </strong></p><ul><li>Associate’s degree in business recommended but not required or Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) or Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) certification and 3 years’ experience working in the logistics field.</li><li>Basic understanding of all relevant Foreign Affairs Manual and Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAM/FAH) regulations regarding property management and be able to provide relevant assistance to DS-field personnel.</li><li>Three years’ experience in gunsmithing/armoring required.</li><li>May require the ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift Certification within 6 months of employment.</li><li>Requires the ability to obtain and maintain certificate of gunsmithing from an accredited technical college/school, and/or manufacturer armor/operations manual for DS inventory.</li><li>Secret security clearance required to start, must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.</li><li>Proficient written/verbal communications skills.</li><li>Required to follow all laws and regulations pertaining to transporting of Government owned weaponry and ammunition.</li><li>Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Company Information:</strong></p><p><strong>Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP)</strong> is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
