This role blends hands-on product leadership with people management, helping teams translate strategy into prioritized backlogs and predictable delivery of value.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Lead and coach Agile Product Owners to drive strong backlog management, prioritization, and value-focused decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Partner with business and technology leaders to align product roadmaps with strategic initiatives and measurable business outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Ensure teams translate business needs into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.</p></li><li><p>Guide roadmap sequencing, delivery forecasting, and trade-off decisions to support predictable delivery.</p></li><li><p>Enable balanced delivery across new features, enhancements, defects, and technical improvements.</p></li><li><p>Promote continuous improvement across product discovery, backlog refinement, and stakeholder feedback.</p></li><li><p>Foster cross-team alignment and manage dependencies across products and platforms.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to organizational agile maturity by participating in and shaping product and agile communities of practice.</p></li><li><p>Act as a people manager for Agile Product Owners, supporting career development, performance management, and growth planning.</p></li><li><p>Identify and develop product talent through coaching, feedback, and mentorship.</p></li><li><p>Remove organizational impediments impacting Product Owners and escalate systemic issues when needed.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><p></p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or in a comparable agile product role.</p></li><li><p>At least 2 years of people management or team leadership experience.</p></li><li><p>10 or more years of experience working in technology or technology-enabled business environments.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to align product execution to strategic business goals.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across business, technology, and leadership audiences.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.</p></li><li><p>Agile or product certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM).</p></li><li><p>Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with Jira or similar agile backlog and roadmap tools.</p></li><li><p>Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>Since 1981, Allegiance by Cigna Healthcare has specialized in the administration of medical benefits, offering core services such as claims processing, customer service, utilization management, and case management.
