Morgan and Merrill Lynch.</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Description</strong></p> <p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Monitoring & Analysis (40%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct monthly financial statement reviews for an assigned portfolio of 20-25 companies, identifying trends, variances, and early indicators of performance changes</li> <li>Perform covenant compliance calculations and maintain covenant tracking schedules across all assigned portfolio companies</li> <li>Upload financial data into portfolio management systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates</li> <li>Prepare monthly and quarterly monitoring commentary and analysis, supporting the valuation process with detailed financial assessments</li> <li>Calculate and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue trends, EBITDA margins, liquidity positions, and leverage metrics</li> </ul> <p><strong>Portfolio Administration & Data Management (30%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate and current records in firm data management platforms and CRM systems</li> <li>Support the preparation of materials for portfolio status reporting, ensuring accurate credit rating classifications</li> <li>Coordinate financial reporting schedules with portfolio company CFOs and finance teams</li> <li>Manage document organization and maintain deal folders with current financial statements, compliance certificates, and correspondence</li> <li>Generate standardized reports for internal stakeholders including weekly status updates and monthly portfolio summaries</li> </ul> <p><strong>Valuation & Reporting Support (20%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare quarterly valuation support materials including comparable company analyses and precedent transaction data</li> <li>Respond to valuation provider questions and coordinate information requests during quarterly and annual valuation cycles</li> <li>Support year-end valuation deep dives with detailed financial analysis and performance commentary</li> <li>Assist with LP reporting requirements, ensuring accurate portfolio company information for fund-level communications</li> </ul> <p><strong>Board & Management Engagement (10%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Attend board meetings as observer for select portfolio companies, taking detailed notes and tracking action items</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Support Managing Directors on board-related matters, preparing financial summaries and operational updates</li> <li>Prepare discussion materials for management calls and track follow-up items</li> <li>Document management team and sponsor interactions and maintain relationship notes in CRM</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant experience in investment banking, commercial banking, private credit, private equity, public accounting, or corporate finance roles</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building and maintaining financial models</li> <li>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple portfolio companies simultaneously</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex financial information</li> <li>Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with portfolio monitoring, credit analysis, or loan administration at a private credit firm or bank</li> <li>Familiarity with private credit documentation including credit agreements, covenant calculations, and compliance certificates</li> <li>Prior exposure to portfolio management systems (eFront, Investran, or similar platforms)</li> <li>Progress toward CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional designations</li> <li>Experience in the lower middle-market or with sponsor-backed companies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location & Timing</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Location:</strong> Remote</li> <li><strong>Timing:</strong> Immediate</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and performance during the selection process.
