It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.   Description of Work Lead a dynamic, mission‑ driven team dedicated to ensuring high‑ quality care in North Carolina’s nursing homes. As Branch Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations for the eastern region, guiding a multidisciplinary staff of nurses, dietitians, social workers, generalists, and pharmacists. Your leadership ensures that nursing homes meet essential licensure and Medicare and Medicaid certification standards through regular onsite surveys and compliance evaluations. This impactful role blends team supervision, fieldwork coordination, and regulatory oversight to promote safety, quality, and accountability in long ‑term care across the state.  Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences   Salary Range: $67,122 - $117,465 Recruitment Range: $67,122 - $96,418   Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.   The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required.   • Successful Surveyor Minimum Qualification Test Results
  • Familiarity with the long-term care survey process and the IQIES program
  • Excellent written communication with greater than 90% scores on Principles of Documentation.

  This position is funded in part through federal funds.  This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.   The Division of Health Service Regulation oversees medical, mental health and adult care facilities, emergency medical services, and local jails. We check to see that people receiving care in these facilities are safe and receive appropriate care.
