The Medical Records Coordinator will be focused on records processing, including but not limited to sending out patient authorization forms, retrieving medical files, and facilitating form completion from members and providers. The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a basic understanding of HIPAA regulations surrounding member privacy and records release requests. This position will contribute to our success by providing non-clinical administrative support to our members and providers.</p> <p>This is a temporary position with the opportunity to extend or become permanent full-time based on performance and/or business needs. As a temporary (contract) position, this role is not eligible for any non-statutory benefits. Flexibility to support occasional shift adjustments (depending on business needs) is preferred, ability to work <strong>1 weekend per month</strong> and at least <strong>4 holidays</strong> per year. Advance notice will be provided when possible. This position reports to a Care Support Team Lead.</p> <p>You must be willing to work any of the shifts listed below. Shift confirmation will be provided upon receiving an offer.</p> <ul> <li><em>8:00 AM-4:00 PM EST</em></li> <li><em>9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST</em></li> <li><em>10:00 AM-6:00 PM EST</em></li> <li><em>12:00 PM-8:00 PM EST</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Uploading records requests and patient authorization forms including processing medical record requests and provider letters </li> <li>Building relationships with providers, patients, and internal teams (Care Navigation, Provider Success, etc.) for the purposes of medical records management</li> <li>Assist members with Mental Health Leaves & Accommodations (MHLA) requests, liaising with provider and third parties as needed </li> <li>Provide weekly metrics on new, in progress, and completed medical records requests </li> <li>Daily duties include responding to emails, supporting inbound and outbound phone calls, and assisting with patient support tickets as needed </li> <li>Follow HIPAA guidelines while ensuring the confidentiality of patient PHI</li> <li>Maintain a consistent workflow by processing all requests within 24-48 hours of receipt for assigned medical records tickets</li> <li>Monitor incoming requests received through various means and subsequently reporting any suspicious release of medical records requests</li> </ul> <p><strong>What success looks like in this role (Key KPIs):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Successful sustained adherence to holistic performance targets across metrics such as productivity, quality, and adherence </li> <li>Alignment with core values and competencies </li> <li>Attention to detail to support a high-quality member and provider experience </li> </ul> <p><strong>What you'll bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role</li> <li>Advanced understanding of medical terminology, and HIPAA</li> <li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities</li> <li>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills</li> <li>Experience with Adobe Acrobat/Google Sheets/Google Docs/MS Office</li> <li>Comfortable in rapidly changing environments and with constantly evolving responsibilities</li> <li>Tech-savvy: very comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms and efficient in tech-related tasks</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Able to multi-task and context switch</li> </ul> <p>The target base salary range for this position is <strong><em>$25.13 - $29.49</em>. </strong>Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
