<p><strong>Job Description: Content / Copywriter (Remote – South Africa)</strong><br /> We are seeking an experienced Copy / Content Writer with a proven track record in both B2B and B2C content creation for the human capital sector. This is a remote, retainer-based position where you will deliver specified content weekly/monthly. You will receive topics, campaign objectives, and direction for each assignment.</p> <p>You will produce high-quality content across multiple digital platforms, including website pages, blogs (B2B and B2C), social media channels, and persuasive video scripts (B2B). You will report to the Marketing Manager.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Website Copy / Content Writing &amp; Publishing<br /> Write and update website content, including landing pages, banners, CTAs, and backend SEO updates.<br /> Ensure accuracy and adherence to SEO best practices when publishing content.</p> <p>Blog &amp; Thought Leadership Articles<br /> Research, write, and publish 2 SEO-optimized blog articles per week based on provided topics.<br /> Develop ad-hoc thought leadership articles to strengthen brand authority.</p> <p>Social Media Content<br /> Produce audience-relevant long-form and short-form social media content, including captions, storytelling posts, and short-form video/reel/story scripts.</p> <p>Video Copy<br /> Write ad-hoc lead-generation and brand video scripts/storyboards for marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.</p> <p>Team Collaboration<br /> Contribute to the monthly development of content calendars for websites, blogs, social media, and video.<br /> Work closely with the marketing team to align content with business goals.<br /> Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing content reach, engagement, and conversions.</p> <p><strong>Content Deliverables</strong></p> <p>1× website general content/copy (landing pages, banners, CTAs, backend SEO, refreshes) – ~1 hour/month<br /> 8 blog articles (2 per week) – long &amp; short format<br /> 12 Facebook posts (~3/week)<br /> 12 Instagram posts (~3/week)<br /> 12 LinkedIn posts (~3/week)<br /> ≈ 36 posts total per month, including long/short form copy, storytelling, captions, reels/scripts<br /> Ad Hoc, 2 hours per month: promotional/brand video scripts + storyboarding, narrative development, and thought leadership articles as needed<br /> Strategic Collaboration: 1× content calendar (website, blog, social, video)<br /> Ongoing repurposing, optimisation, SEO/trends insights, and team collaboration</p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills</strong><br /> Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent experience.<br /> Minimum 5 years of experience in digital content writing for both B2B and B2C audiences.<br /> Portfolio showcasing blogs, website content, and social media campaigns.<br /> Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, HubSpot).<br /> Solid experience in implementing SEO best practices.<br /> Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.<br /> Experience creating both short-form and long-form social media content.<br /> Ability to write short-form video scripts (reels, stories) and long-form promotional/brand video scripts.<br /> Perfect SA/UK English writing and grammar.<br /> Professional, time-efficient, and able to deliver content with minimal rework.</p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong><br /> Fully remote work, completed at your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.<br /> Work with a passionate, purpose-driven team.</p>
