We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Safety Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025 at our U.S. refining locations. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact on our company's safety initiatives. Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks within the refinery. Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures. Conduct safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Create and maintain safety records and reports. Participate in incident investigations and provide recommendations for prevention in the future. Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Assist with emergency response and crisis management activities. Stay updated on industry safety trends and best practices to continuously improve safety programs. Communicate safety information and initiatives to all levels of the organization. Act as a safety resource for employees, providing guidance and support as needed. Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of safety initiatives. Proactively identify and address potential safety concerns within the refinery. Collaborate with other interns and team members on special projects related to safety.
