TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Machinist. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Collaborate with Manufacture Engineering to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and quality.</li><li>Assist maintenance personnel with the diagnosis and correction of machine tool geometry concerns using part inspection data.</li><li>Follow the production schedule and proactively verify machines are configured correctly with appropriate tooling, available tool life, and fixtures as required.</li><li>In accordance with SOP’s and drawing set up instructions, load castings & raw materials on designated pallets for 5 axis CNC machining in an automated environment.</li><li>Ensure all machines are running in accordance with the daily published schedule, and with objectives to meet established Quality and OEE targets.</li><li>Perform required daily maintenance activities on assigned CNC machine and record activity on machine tablet. This includes detailed cleaning, coolant concentration checks, and other general cleaning tasks.</li><li>Coordinate with the QC department to validate part quality from QC reports. For any non-conforming issues, validate part setup, tool builds, fixture requirements and machine geometry and coordinate data with QC and Manufacture Engineering to achieve the required resolution and expected quality.</li><li>Recover machines and automation robots from any alarms that may occur and resume production.</li><li>Document machine and automation robot issues resulting in lost production in TRD tracking system with full details with the intention to diagnose root cause and corrective action of issue.</li><li>Retrieve and/or build cutting tools in accordance with defined tool list requirements, verifying 100% tool build accuracy.</li><li></li></ul>A successful candidate will have:<ul><li>High School diploma AND AA Degree or completed trade school study relevant toward CNC machine manufacturing.</li><li>Knowledge of 5 axis CNC machine controls (Heidenhain, Mazatrol experience is preferred), with the ability to select, retrieve and run programs.</li><li>5+ years’ experience working in a highly dynamic, metric driven, close tolerance CNC manufacturing environment, with responsibilities in machine operation, programming, and cutting tool selection and maintenance.</li><li>Strong knowledge of CNC cutting tools (e.g. reamers, end mills, boring bars, taps, drills, etc.).</li><li>Ability to read, follow and provide constructive feedback on internal Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>Familiarity of G & M Code programming techniques (Heidenhain, Mazatrol experience preferred).</li><li>Ability to read and understand detailed blueprints with advanced GD&T experience. </li><li>Competent with various forms of measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, go/no-go gauges, etc.).</li><li>Ability to work in a self-supervised environment.</li></ul>Computer Skills:<ul><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint).</li></ul>Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:<ul><li>Must be constantly on feet.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Constant need to perform the following physical activities to perform service, maintenance or repair to equipment: Bend, stoop, climb, push or pull.</li></ul>A successful candidate may have: <ul><li>Knowledge of 5-axis CNC machine controls.
