About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cyber Security Intern to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity. Our interns don't just sit behind a desk; they learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced cyber security professionals, contribute to real-world projects, and enhance your skills in various aspects of information security from governance, risk and compliance to network and endpoint security.

Responsibilities

  • Most work will be focused on data analysis and cleanup of access roles for all users.
  • Monitor security systems, identify and investigate potential security threats, and recommend appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with the cyber security team to analyze and respond to security incidents and breaches promptly and effectively.
  • Help with security audits on systems, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Participate in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security software.
  • Help develop a tool to assist with the identification and classification of phishing emails and a broader threat emulation framework.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related field and currently in Junior or Senior year of study
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and information security principles
  • Strong data organizational skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with common security concepts and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
