As a Senior Solutions Engineer for Zoom Phone in our Upmarket segment, you'll be at the forefront of enterprise communications innovation. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping large organizations transform their telephony and collaboration experiences. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across customer-facing and internal teams—from designing solutions that solve complex business challenges to collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape the future of Zoom's telephony platform. About the Team

You'll join a collaborative team of technical experts who are passionate about delivering enterprise-grade communications solutions. Our team works closely with Sales Engineers, UCaaS Advisors, Product Management, Architecture, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure Zoom Phone meets the highest standards for reliability and performance. We value knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration. Together, we're building the future of enterprise telephony while supporting each other's growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Translating business objectives into comprehensive telephony solution strategies for enterprise customers

  • Partnering with Sales Engineers, UCaaS Advisors, and specialists to align technical recommendations with customer needs

  • Collaborating with product, architecture, and quality teams to test and validate new telephony features before production release

  • Demonstrating advanced UCaaS and CCaaS solutions to technical and executive audiences

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex telephony and network configurations during proof-of-concept phases

  • Influencing product roadmaps by sharing customer use cases and market insights with Product Management teams

  • Delivering targeted demonstrations showcasing telephony integrations, AI-powered features, and workflow automations

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation to support solution delivery and sales enablement

  • Mentoring team members on advanced telephony concepts and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Bringing 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or customer-facing engineering roles

  • Demonstrating expert-level understanding of telephony technologies, including SIP, RTP, QoS, COS, codecs, and PBX architectures

  • Applying strong knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals: routing, switching, LAN/WAN, firewalls, TCP/IP (IPv4), DNS, and SBCs

  • Understanding UCaaS and CCaaS market landscape, including competitors like Microsoft, Cisco, RingCentral, Amazon, and 8x8

  • Collaborating effectively across departments—product management, QA, architecture, and customer success

  • Communicating complex technical concepts in clear, business-relevant terms

  • Holding certifications such as MCSE, CCIE, or equivalent networking and telecommunication credentials (preferred)

  • Thriving in dynamic, growth-oriented environments with a self-motivated and analytical approach

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$146,000.00

Maximum:

$319,400.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
