<div class="container-3Gm1a"><p><strong>In this position...</strong></p><p>Execution of the Injection molds, Automation and Assembly Tooling procurement process including: </p><ul><li>Capable tool shop identification to insure competitive bidding </li><li>Effective Sourcing Approach insured by validating tool shop capability </li><li>Transparency ensured by use of Ford’s Tool Break Down Sheets </li><li>Finalizing timely negotiations in support of Program Finance Freeze</li></ul><p>1. Develop Automation and Assembly Tooling sourcing strategies in conjunction with the Purchasing matched pair and ensure that those strategies are implemented successfully </p><p>2. Coordinate GPDS (Global Product Development System) Part Pedigree Deliverables for all build events </p><p>3. Ensure production tool timing and plans meet home line delivery of tooling for TT requirement</p><p>4. Develop analytical tools and strategies to deliver BIC (Best in Class) tool performance and timing (Shop Performance Analytics, Benchmarking, shop development plans, Market Intelligence, targets, competitive bids, Low-Cost Country sourcing, etc.) </p><p>5. Responsible for cost status and target in cooperation with GVT buyers, program, engineering, cost estimating and purchasing. </p><p>     a. Identifies key opportunities to deliver efficiencies in vendor tooling. </p><p>     b. Work closely with Vendor Tooling Purchasing Buyer to deliver efficient tooling </p><p>6. Single point of contact and co-ordination regarding Technical issues for suppliers and engineering on global vehicle programs for commodities assigned </p><p>7. Resolves emerging issues by engaging Engineering, Program, STA, Purchasing, CE, part Suppliers, and Tool shops to drive GPDS timing deliverables with required pedigree parts. </p><p>8. Manage positive relationships with the supply base and/or plant personnel by: </p><p>      a. acting like a partner, being accountable, trusting and being trustworthy, communicating</p><p>with consistency, being fact based while driving for results, </p><p>      b. thinking value not just price </p><p>      c. Establish tone of ethical business operations to avoid any fraud, bribery or corruption in order to maximize the relationship value</p><p><strong>What you'll do...</strong></p><p>1. Monitor technical depth and quality of supply base including follow-up on further development and establishment of back-up plan in case of risk </p><p>2. Develop a world class supply base for commodities assigned that is capable of delivering the quality, cost and timing objectives of Vehicle Operations and Manufacturing Operations product programs. </p><p>3. Identify and develop tool supply base for any emerging technologies working together with PD </p><p>4.
