Telehealth Clinician (Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant)

The Role

As a Telehealth Clinician, you will be a key member of our dedicated team providing high-quality, lasting healthcare solutions. You will act as the clinical engine behind high-acuity interventions, providing a safer, more comfortable alternative to traditional inpatient stays by managing complex patients via video visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Virtual Assessment: Perform problem-focused assessments and health screenings via telehealth video visits.
  • Clinical Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, EKGs, and POCUS.
  • Acute Intervention: Direct therapeutic interventions such as IV fluids, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate testing, follow-ups, and communicate with referring clinicians to "close the loop" post-visit.
  • Holistic Care: Integrate patient goals and palliative principles into comprehensive care plans.
  • Education: Educate patients and families on managing health and treatment protocols.

Qualifications

  • License: Current, unrestricted state licensure and certification as an APRN/NP or PA-C in New York, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, or Texas (Compact License is preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years (3,600 hours) of experience in the ED, Inpatient Medicine, or Post-Acute Care.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong clinical decision-making; BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
  • Tech Setup: Must have a dedicated, private workspace with reliable high-speed internet suitable for video visits.
  • Highly Desirable: 5+ years of experience or a background in EMS, Home-based Medical Care, or "Hospital at Home" models.

Schedule & Availability

  • Commitment: Minimum availability of 4 shifts per month (12 hour shifts).
  • Flexibility: Part-time schedule with flexible availability required to meet patient demand.
  • Rotations: Mandatory participation in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
