This is not a pure development role — we're looking for someone who thinks like a business analyst and builds like an engineer. You'll use geospatial data and large-scale datasets to identify high-opportunity areas for infrastructure growth, but more importantly, you'll know how to turn that analysis into a compelling story that drives investment decisions at the leadership level.<br><br>This is a high-visibility position within the engineering organization, working directly alongside planning, strategy, and executive teams. If you've spent your career bridging the gap between technical GIS work and real business outcomes — this was built for you.<br><br> Key Responsibilities <br><br><ul><li>Analyze geospatial and consumer datasets to identify market opportunities and infrastructure gaps</li><li>Build and present business cases that translate spatial analysis into actionable investment recommendations</li><li>Develop and maintain spatial models to support strategic planning and network expansion analysis</li><li>Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets from internal and cloud-based sources</li><li>Build automated Python scripts and workflows for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis</li><li>Create dashboards, maps, and reports that communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Validate and cross-reference internal datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency</li><li>Proactively identify data gaps and drive resolution across internal teams and systems</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, planning, and strategy teams to align insights with business goals<br><br><br></li></ul> Required Skills <br><br><ul><li>Telecom industry GIS experience — mandatory</li><li>Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and analysis</li><li>Advanced SQL skills for querying and managing large relational datasets</li><li>Hands-on experience with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, or similar)</li><li>Ability to build a business narrative around geospatial findings and present to leadership</li><li>Experience working with large-scale geospatial and consumer datasets</li><li>Strong initiative — you chase down answers, you don't wait to be pointed at them<br><br><br></li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <br><br><ul><li>Experience supporting network planning, capacity strategy, or infrastructure investment decisions</li><li>Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and environments</li><li>Background in consumer segmentation, demographic overlays, or competitive analysis</li><li>Experience building visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or GIS-integrated platforms)</li><li>Exposure to cloud migration or modernization initiatives within a telecom environment<br><br><br></li></ul> Why Join? <br><br>This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed, high-visibility team where your analysis directly shapes infrastructure investment and network strategy at a national scale.
