Sr Technology Solution Consultant, Transformation (CIS) Position Summary: The Sr Technology Solution Consultant (CIS) is a domain-aligned expert responsible for advising, translating, and aligning business needs with technology enablement during enterprise transformation/major initiatives. Operating at the intersection of business operations and system delivery, this role partners with technology teams, business stakeholders and implementation partners to ensure functional alignment, system usability and future state readiness. The Sr Consultant applies deep domain expertise to guide solutioning, validate end-to-end design, and support change adoption across the transformation lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into documented functional and technical solution requirements and validate feasibility.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners, architects, and engineering teams to guide solution design.
  • Validate functional design against end-to-end business processes, upstream/downstream impacts, and integration points.
  • Serve as domain SME across design, build, testing, migration, and deployment phases.
  • Facilitate cross functional design decisions and ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Support impact assessment, solution traceability, readiness work and design documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a domain specific or system enabled or transformation role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems and systems enabled business processes.
  • Advanced process and system thinking and functional solution literacy.
  • Strong stakeholder alignment, requirements shaping and cross functional influence skills
  • Knowledge of integration points across business functions
  • Regular travel required to MN and CO

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated advanced experience with Jira/Confluence.
  • Familiar with Xcel Energy Customer Application ecosystem and landscape.
