JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior BI Reporting Analyst will be responsible for developing and fulfilling reporting needs for the Technology Product Operations (TPO) organization. The Analyst will collaborate with Product owners and teams to understand requirements for information, then create new or modify existing BI reports to deliver against those needs.  Candidates must have strong data visualization skills, experience developing complex reports based on data from multiple sources and have a passion for telling stories with data.  

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

 

Education and Experience 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in a technology or business field; or equivalent experience/certifications  
  • 5 years overall experience in data analytics or related field  
  • 3 years experience in development, testing, implementation and administration of sophisticated reports, and dashboards using Tableau  
  • 3 years experience in development, testing, implementation and administration of sophisticated reports, and dashboards using Power BI 
  • 3 years experience querying and manipulating large quantities of data using SQL 
  • 3 years experience storytelling with data to provide effective visualizations of information and actionable insights for decision-making  
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in data modeling and ETL development and processing 
  • Experience leading data strategy engagements and guiding and advising senior leaders 
  • Experience working with Jira data 
  • Programming experience in DAX or Python 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Fabric  
  • Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse 
  • Familiarity with project & product management methodologies within SAFe 
  • Familiarity working with AI modeling, prompt writing, Copilot in Fabric 
  • Agile experience

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of reporting standards, dashboard design practices, and visualization methodologies for TPO. 
  • Partner with TPO Product Owners, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to identify reporting needs and translate business questions into actionable analytics solutions. 
  • Gather, clarify, and document business requirements for metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and report design to ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives. 
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data definitions, wireframes, and AI-enabled reporting inputs to support scalable dashboard and reporting solutions. 
  • Advise stakeholders on metric design, data interpretation, and reporting best practices to promote consistency, relevance, and decision-ready insights. 
  • Maintain and update backlog items, user stories, and related documentation to accurately reflect priorities, scope, and delivery progress. 
  • Present prototypes, dashboards, and completed reporting solutions to stakeholders to gather feedback, validate requirements, and drive adoption. 
  • Analyze large and complex datasets using Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric to identify trends, relationships, risks, and opportunities that inform business decisions. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, semantic models, dashboards, and reports across Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric, leveraging multiple data sources, complex queries, stored procedures, and automation capabilities. 
  • Monitor report and dashboard effectiveness on an ongoing basis and refine outputs to improve usability, accuracy, and business value. 
  • Optimize BI report and dashboard performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning techniques that improve speed, reliability, and user experience. 
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution for existing reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to ensure continuity and user satisfaction. 
  • Investigate data quality issues, reporting defects, and discrepancies to determine root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions. 
  • Independently manage smaller reporting initiatives while contributing to larger cross-functional analytics projects and priorities.
