Role : Software Developer (RPG Developer – IBM iSeries / AS400)
Location : Remote – United States
Duration : 12-Month Contract (Likely Extension)

We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer with strong IBM iSeries (AS/400) expertise to support enterprise applications in a large-scale production environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing, maintaining, and modernizing mission-critical RPG applications while supporting business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPG applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
  • Develop solutions using RPG III, RPG IV, RPG ILE, SQL, CL Programming, and batch processing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within established SLAs
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between iSeries applications and external systems
  • Support DB2 for i database design, optimization, SQL tuning, and stored procedures
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning and estimation
  • Perform code reviews and maintain technical documentation
  • Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and process improvements

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of RPG development experience on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
  • RPG III, RPG IV, RPG ILE
  • IBM iSeries / AS400 platform
  • DB2 for iSeries
