ServiceNow Platform Manager
Fully Remote, Anywhere USA
Pay - $80 - $90.00 p/hr

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Platform Manager to lead the strategy, architecture, and operational oversight of an enterprise-wide ServiceNow environment. This role is responsible for ensuring platform scalability, security, and high-quality service delivery while managing a blended team of employees, consultants, and offshore resources. The ideal candidate brings deep architectural experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of driving enterprise ServiceNow modernization efforts.


ResponsibilitiesPlatform Strategy & Architecture
  • Define and maintain the overarching ServiceNow platform architecture.

  • Evaluate new features, modules, and integrations to guide modernization.

  • Establish architectural standards for scalability, security, and extensions.

Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Implement governance frameworks, secure-by-design principles, and configuration controls.

  • Maintain alignment with compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR, and internal audit standards).

  • Oversee change management, configuration reviews, and platform hardening.

Operational Excellence
  • Ensure platform stability, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness.

  • Oversee incident, problem, and request management processes.

  • Apply ITIL or similar best-practice frameworks to optimize service performance.

Development, Integrations & Delivery
  • Lead development of workflows, applications, and integrations across modules.

  • Enforce coding, testing, and release standards across internal and offshore teams.

  • Drive automation, continuous improvement, and platform usability enhancements.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management
  • Manage and mentor a distributed team of developers, admins, consultants, and offshore staff.

  • Oversee vendor relationships, SOWs, SLAs, and delivery governance.

  • Set expectations, monitor performance, and support professional development.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements.

  • Communicate platform roadmaps, timelines, risks, and status updates.

  • Act as a key liaison for platform governance, demand intake, and strategic planning.

Adoption & Knowledge Management
  • Promote user adoption through documentation, training, and best-practice guidance.

  • Maintain platform standards, knowledge articles, and delivery playbooks.

  • Support organizational change management for new features and enhancements.


Qualifications
  • 7 years of ServiceNow platform management and architecture experience.

  • Proven track record leading large-scale ServiceNow implementations and modernization initiatives.

  • Experience managing blended teams (internal, consulting, and offshore).

  • Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and enterprise integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, SSO, data flows).

  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, DevOps, and enterprise governance frameworks.

  • ServiceNow certifications highly preferred.
