<strong><strong>Overview <br><br></strong></strong><strong>What you’ll do<br><br></strong>Own and manage the Kansas City & Missouri territory by developing agency relationships and growing commercial P&C business.<br><br>You will spend most of your time in the field—meeting with agency partners, increasing submission activity, and building a book of business aligned with underwriting guidelines.<br><br><strong><strong>How You’ll Make An Impact<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Increase written premium by expanding submission activity from agency partners </li><li> Build and maintain agency relationships through regular in-person meetings </li><li> Review agency performance and adjust territory approach based on results </li><li> Work with underwriting and distribution leadership to align on guidelines, pricing, and growth plans </li><li> Use data (agency performance, market trends, competitor activity) to determine where to focus time and effort </li><li> Follow a consistent sales process, tracking activity, pipeline, and results <br><br></li></ul><strong><strong> Responsibilities <br><br></strong></strong><strong>What you’ll do<br><br></strong>Own and grow the Kansas City & Missouri territory by building strong agency relationships and driving profitable commercial P&C business.<br><br>You’ll spend most of your time in-market—meeting with agency partners, increasing submission flow, and shaping a high-quality book of business aligned to GUARD’s underwriting appetite.<br><br><strong><strong>How You’ll Make An Impact<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> Grow premium profitably by increasing submission flow from key agency partners </li><li> Build and deepen agency relationships through consistent, in-person engagement </li><li> Identify underperforming and high-potential agencies and adjust your territory strategy accordingly </li><li> Partner closely with underwriting and distribution leadership to align on appetite, pricing, and growth targets </li><li> Use data (agency performance, market trends, competitor activity) to prioritize where to spend time and resources </li><li> Execute a disciplined sales approach—tracking activity, pipeline, and results against defined goals <br><br></li></ul><strong><strong> Qualifications <br><br></strong></strong><strong>What You'll Bring<br><br></strong><ul><li> 3+ years of experience in territory management, production underwriting, or broker distribution </li><li> Experience growing a book of business through agency relationships </li><li> Knowledge of commercial P&C (Workers’ Comp, BOP, Auto, Umbrella) </li><li> Familiarity with the Kansas City & Missouri market and agency environment </li><li> Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions </li><li> Clear and effective communication with agency partners and internal teams </li><li> Strong organizational skills and independent problem-solving in complex situations <br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>What To Expect<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li> High travel role with regular in-person agency visits </li><li> Responsibility for managing territory approach and results </li><li> Regular coordination with underwriting, distribution, and leadership teams <br><br></li></ul><strong>Tools & Extras<br><br></strong><ul><li> Excel required; Power BI a plus </li><li> Bachelor’s degree preferred <br><br></li></ul><strong> This position is subject to background screening, which may include drug testing and motor vehicle record review for roles involving driving. <br><br></strong><strong>Salary Range<br><br></strong><strong>$105,000-$130,000 USD + performance-based bonus potential and use of a company car<br><br></strong><strong>In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good‐faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.</strong>
