Kelsey-Seybold Managed Care Analytics exists to monitor and improve the financial performance of Kelsey-Seybold (KS) by providing actionable, data-driven insights to the organization. Within Managed Care Analytics, the Delta Analytics and Risk Adjustment team's primary focus is the development and implementation of care value programs and analytics to support strategic evolution of evidence-based medicine strategies.<br/><br/>The Senior Director will oversee a range of central operations and analytic teams in a dyad partnership supporting clinical services focused on medical expense drivers, inpatient performance, risk adjustment, and population health. The Director will be a "hands-on" leader who will build out expertise on the team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop cost of care scorecards, and own accountability for driving cost of care improvements. It requires an analytical and operationally focused executive experienced at providing consultative guidance and translating quantitative insights into operational change in a matrixed reporting environment.<br/><br/>You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.<br/><br/><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> Provides long-range planning and oversight of delta and risk adjustment-related operations to ensure activities are appropriately integrated into the strategic direction, as well as the mission and values of the company </li><li> Operates in a consultant role to clinical dyads across the organization to support the operational execution of clinical outcomes and cost of care goals </li><li> Accountable for the development, production, and analysis of reports and data required to understand the key drivers of the relevant cost of care components and initiative impacts including: </li><li> Cost of care trend analytics and benchmarking </li><li> The execution and measurement of risk adjustment programs, including those related to member and provider engagement </li><li> Program analytics evaluating the ROI and impact of clinical programs/interventions </li><li> Scorecard development and KPI definitions </li><li> Build a highly effective team by ensuring adequate staffing is in place to meet enterprise needs, overseeing deployment of training and development activities, and establishing a culture of accountability to the team and enterprise </li></ul><br/><br/>You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.<br/><br/><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> 10+ years of experience in data analytics with depth in analytics, change management and strategic planning inclusive of: </li><li> 8+ years of experience supervising or managing teams and/or projects </li><li> Advanced understanding of value-based healthcare </li><li> Program analytics evaluating the ROI and impact of clinical programs/interventions </li><li> Scorecard development and KPI definitions </li><li> Cost of care trend analytics and benchmarking </li><li> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point </li><li> Proven ability to effectively report data, analyze facts, & exercise sound judgment when making recommendations to members of the sr leadership team </li><li> Proven ability to work in a dynamic setting and balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines </li><li> Proven ability to motivate others & function as working manager </li><li> Proven accountability for the development, production, and analysis of reports and data required to understand the key drivers of the relevant cost of care components and initiative impacts including: </li><li> Proven ability to execute and measure risk adjustment programs, including those related to member and provider engagement </li><li> Ability to travel to clinic sites as needed </li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> Programming experience in SQL, SAS or similar application language </li><li> Familiarity with EPIC and Clarity reporting data warehouse </li><li> Consulting background </li><li> Solid VBC background </li><li> Proven ability to excel in a matrixed environment </li></ul><br/><br/>*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy<br/><br/>Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment.
