Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Remote)

Position Summary

At Smart Start, the key to growth is a high-performing sales team. That’s why we’re seeking a qualified Sales Development Representative (SDR) to find and screen potential influencers whose clients will benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with potential influencers, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of our products and excels in seeing new opportunities, building relationships, and setting up Business Development Representatives for success. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and the ability to showcase our products above the competition.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promoting and marketing Smart Start products through extensive and persistent cold calls, Hub Spot, emails, live chat, and other forms of communication to prospective influencers
  • Scheduling initial meetings for the field sales team
  • Manage the Dots on Map program
  • Researching and developing influencer prospects through web searches and social media
  • Provide technical expertise as it applies to both government officials and consultative selling with influencers.
  • Obtain market intelligence to ensure Smart Start’s competitive agility and strategy in the marketplace
  • Develop new sales strategies specific to the competitive approach and influencer opportunity
  • Educate influencers on the full scope of product functionality including reporting platforms
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency and knowledge in Smart Start products and monitoring platforms
  • Be an expert on state regulations and rules pertaining to impaired driving, ignition interlock, and alcohol monitoring
  • Proactively see new influencer opportunities within the market


Qualifications

  • Prior Sales Experience
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Competitive ability to work in a strong sales environment
  • Strong communication skills while maintaining the ability to be a quality team member
  • Ability to solve problems and make educated decisions
  • Self-starter with a top level competitive nature and strong initiative to succeed

  • Experience related to Impaired Driving, Ignition Interlock, and Alcohol Monitoring programs
  • College Degree Preferred (Associate or Bachelor)
