Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments. Respond immediately to clinical deterioration or emergency calls. Provide real-time education on early warning signs, interventions, and documentation. Support and coach bedside nurses during and after rapid response events. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer. Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives. Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice. Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiates consults as indicated, and identifies patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs. Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards. Perform focused and comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing acute changes. Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
