AFL Team Operations Coordinator

This position oversees one of the six Arizona Fall League teams and stadium. Individual interacts with all stakeholders connected to the Arizona Fall League. Including but not limited to: fans, stadium staff, field staff, MLB affiliate clubs and staff of the Commissioner's office.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate staff/player travel

• Provide daily updates on player medicals/availability/roster constraints

• Coordinate team workouts with field manager and grounds crew.

• Assist communications team with media requests

• Prepare daily lineups/rosters for distribution

• Monitor and supervise all stadium operations and fan experience

• Update and monitor all PA announcements

• Travel with the team for road games and assist home team coordinator

• Execute all autograph requests for team/league related initiatives

• Accompany/assist players with all community related appearances

• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned

• Facilitates adherence to all health and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Must be a college graduate

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) candidates preferred

• Participation in athletics at the collegiate/professional level a plus

• Must work well independently and collaboratively

• Operational accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of Club personnel and MLB staff

• Excellent prioritization and time management skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and Google G-Suite

• Maturity, good judgement, and a positive can-do attitude

• Strong understanding of industry

• Availability to work nights and weekends

Timing & Compensation:

• Position begins remotely in August and physically in Arizona from mid- September through mid-November.

• Compensation includes:

  • Bi-weekly stipend
  • Travel/housing allowance for out of state hires

• Hires are responsible for securing housing and transportation

Pay Range: $1,000 - $1,400 biweekly

The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
