About the Role We’re looking for a strategic and user-focused Product Manager to lead the evolution of our consumer mobile applications portfolio, including SailFlow, FishWeather, WindAlert, iWindsurf, iKiteSurf, and HeatAlert. This role is perfect for someone who combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving and has a passion for building products that people love to use every day. You’ll be responsible for defining product vision, prioritizing features, and collaborating closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences. You’ll own the product roadmap, drive user engagement, and ensure our apps continue to provide meaningful value to weather enthusiasts and outdoor activity lovers worldwide. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our mobile application suite • Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and market assessment to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and user engagement • Prioritize features and enhancements based on user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with engineering teams to translate product requirements into detailed specifications and user stories • Work closely with design teams to create intuitive, delightful user experiences • Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and drive user acquisition and retention • Coordinate with customer support to address user feedback and resolve product issues Product Development & Delivery • Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management • Write clear, comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that guide development efforts • Conduct regular product reviews and iterate based on user feedback and performance data • Manage product launches and feature rollouts across iOS and Android platforms User Engagement & Growth • Analyze user behavior and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement • Develop strategies to increase user retention, session frequency, and lifetime value • Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle • Stay current with mobile app trends, emerging technologies, and best practices Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably with consumer mobile applications • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling mobile products • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels • Deep understanding of mobile app development processes, including iOS and Android platforms • Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, Asana) • Ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints • Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Desired Qualifications • Experience in weather, outdoor recreation, or sports-related applications • Background in B2C SaaS or subscription-based mobile products • Familiarity with API integrations and smart home platforms • Technical background or ability to engage in detailed technical discussions with engineering teams • Passion for sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, or other wind/weather-dependent activities • Experience with A/B testing, user segmentation, and growth experimentation • Understanding of app store optimization (ASO) and mobile monetization strategies What We Offer • Opportunity to shape products used by passionate outdoor enthusiasts and weather professionals worldwide • Collaborative, mission-driven team working at the intersection of hardware, software, and meteorological science • Flexible remote work environment with team members across the U.S. • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Professional development opportunities and room for growth • Access to Tempest weather stations and mobile apps for personal use Submit your resume by emailing with the job title in the subject line
