Candidates should be comfortable participating in occasional in-person gatherings or team-specific onsite expectations, depending on their role and department.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage and support Overflow’s payment operations across cash and non-cash giving workflows, including stock donations, payment processing, reconciliation, and transaction support</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Analyze payment activity, operational trends, and risk indicators to identify issues, improve processes, and reduce operational friction</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review merchant and client applications, validate documentation, and support Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verification processes</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Monitor transaction activity for fraud, chargebacks, returns, and other payment-related risks while escalating complex issues as needed</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Investigate payment discrepancies, operational issues, and transaction anomalies to identify root causes and drive resolution</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support underwriting and risk review processes by analyzing financial information, business models, transaction behavior, and exposure levels</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer Success, and Operations teams to improve payment workflows and internal systems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assist in scoping operational improvements, documenting requirements, and supporting testing for new tooling and automation initiatives</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Track operational KPIs including approval rates, chargeback ratios, payment declines, processing trends, and risk-related metrics</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the end-to-end stock donation process including transfer coordination, liquidation tracking, payout allocation, and operational compliance</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain accurate operational documentation and support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You Should Have</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">1–4 years of experience in payment operations, risk analysis, fraud operations, fintech operations, financial operations, or related fields</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and make sound judgment-based decisions</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort working with operational systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and payment platforms</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining operational accuracy and accountability</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Self-starter mentality with strong ownership and process-oriented thinking</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Alignment with Overflow’s mission, values, and commitment to operational excellence</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>It’d Be Nice If You Had</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience working within fintech, payments, SaaS, banking, or financial services environments</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with payment processors such as Stripe, Adyen, Fiserv, or related platforms</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with chargebacks, fraud monitoring, underwriting, or transaction risk management</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Exposure to nonprofit, philanthropy, or donor-advised fund ecosystems</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience collaborating with Product or Engineering teams on operational tooling improvements</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with tools such as Excel, HubSpot, Zendesk, Linear, Notion, or similar operational systems</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Our Compensation Philosophy</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Overflow’s compensation philosophy is rooted in Carta Total Compensation benchmarks, ensuring pay that is competitive by role, geography, and function.
