Cogency Medical has immediate openings for part time Nurse Consultants, with ample opportunity for remote/telework. Must be available for 20 plus hours per week. The firm handles unique and very diverse range of OEM and public health issues for private and public clients (including the federal and state government, large corporations and many self- insured clients). Job Title: Nurse Consultant (Baltimore, Maryland) Job Purpose: To maintain and facilitate various projects to include, but not limited to, review and abstraction of project documents, write technical and analytical reports, liaison between project experts, project staff, administrative services and client on investigations, epidemiology research, consulting services and litigation support within the field of toxicology, occupational/ environmental medicine under the Cogency President. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: • Perform detailed interviews, intakes, and histories and assist on medical evaluations and examinations, etc. • Review and analyze medical and other technical records • Perform comprehensive review of literature and regulatory policies • Draft reports by accurately summarizing findings of the team’s analysis and recommendations • Perform case and project specific analysis, literature analysis, critical thinking & integration of data, and report generation • Assist and supervise other registered nurses on various projects • Project management for various projects, as required • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members Education • Graduate of an accredited college/university with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Other sought after relevant advanced degrees or experiences include: Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Environmental Health or Epidemiology, etc. • Current RN Licensure in Maryland • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook • Critical thinking skills and excellent writing skills Experience • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work both independently and in team environments • Occupational Health and Safety experience a plus Miscellaneous: May involve some traveling for site investigations, conferences and other events. Ability to come into the Baltimore office for occasional in house patient evaluations preferred. Remote/telework available and encouraged when not needed for in house patient evaluations. Preference given to candidates residing in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. .
