Job Description:

  • Develop and implement an effective account strategy for Hunter Fan Co., collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead and execute national and regional sales programs focused on increasing product selection, placement, and implementation of Hunter-branded products in Home Depot’s channels.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue quotas by leveraging a deep understanding of Home Depot & Menards business structure, goals, and decision-makers.
  • Analyze current market trends and competitor products and communicate internally to develop new sales strategies, programs, and product innovations across all product categories.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Channel to propose customer-specific product development opportunities and coordinate all aspects of the Stage Gate process.
  • Work with the demand planner to develop accurate sales and purchase forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional plans.
  • Lead product presentations, trade show displays, and key product demonstrations, utilizing product samples to highlight key features and benefits.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows and other customer events as required.
  • Prepare and deliver competitive pricing quotes, negotiate contract terms, and finalize sales agreements.
  • Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) executive meetings, providing cross-functional business updates on your business, aligning key stakeholders on forecasts, inventory levels, and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer training initiatives to ensure thorough product knowledge, conduct store walks to assess product presentation, and provide feedback to enhance customer experience and optimize sales performance across retail locations.
  • Foster relationships with purchasing, planning, and other support function contacts within Home Depot to ensure smooth account operations and resolution of any delivery issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional sales or marketing experience, preferably with national accounts in the home improvement industry.
  • Experience managing national accounts in eCommerce or Pro channels within the home improvement industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex national accounts.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, mathematical, and analytical skills, with proven ability to secure favorable outcomes.
  • Self-motivated, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential opportunities and anticipate future issues by utilizing business analytics, ensuring timely mitigation strategies are in place to prevent disruptions and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems; ability to generate and interpret reports.
  • Proven ability to manage resources efficiently, with a focus on maximizing return on investment and driving operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional weekends, as required.
  • Ability to adhere to an established expense budget and manage resources efficiently.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and comfortable working on ladders at heights of 15’ to 20’.
