<p>Wealthfront is looking for an up and coming economics enthusiast to create timely and unique videos to support our growing market insights content vertical. As an independent contractor, you will ideate, script, film, and edit 6 sharable short-form videos for Wealthfront’s social media channels over a 3-month period (2 videos per month, 6 videos total). Videos may also be published in Wealthfront’s growing <u>Vested Interest</u> newsletter.</p><p><br></p><p>This will be an independent contractor engagement with a 3-month term, with the potential opportunity to extend the engagement or convert to a permanent position at the end of the 3-month period at Wealthfront’s discretion.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Applicants must have a demonstrated background in economics. We aim to make Wealthfront the trusted partner for young professionals managing and growing wealth.</p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for a social media savvy economist and/or financial professional who wants to help Wealthfront’s target audience expand their financial knowledge and deepen their relationship with our products.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Expectations:</strong></p><ul><li>Act as on-camera correspondent and generate high-quality, timely videos relevant to current market and macroeconomic news that help young professionals navigate market trends and build their financial confidence.</li><li>Pitch video topics, write scripts, and film and edit videos with input from Wealthfront’s content and compliance teams.</li><li>Develop unique video content that delivers value to Wealthfront’s target audience and increases engagement on social media channels.</li><li>Stay on top of social media and economic trends and recommend new video formats as relevant.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Expertise in investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and impact of overarching financial trends on young professionals.</li><li>Storytelling creativity and ability to translate financial news and data into unique, digestible content.</li><li>Social media savvy and demonstrated experience creating video content on TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and/or LinkedIn strongly preferred.</li><li>Passion for creating videos that help explain timely financial market and macroeconomic stories.</li><li>Demonstrated background in economics required. (This could include an economics degree, experience working as a data scientist or analyst at a prominent financial institution, or experience as a reporter, broadcast journalist, or data analyst at a financial publication.)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>This will be an independent contractor engagement with a 3-month term, with the potential opportunity to extend the engagement or convert to a permanent position at the end of the 3-month period at Wealthfront’s discretion. Flat rate for contract period: $5000. This is not an employee role; this position is not eligible to receive benefits, equity or bonus compensation during the contract term.</p><p></p>
