Description:

  • Integrate and commission electromechanical production systems and collaborate with engineering to deliver solutions.
  • Develop, build, and execute automation solutions for production lines and improve existing automated assets.
  • Read, understand, and redline mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system schematics.
  • Build industrial control panels to NFPA 79 and UL 508A standards.
  • Design, implement, and commission PLC and HMI software applications.
  • Spec and procure components, sensors, and hardware needed for control solutions.
  • Maintain and support the automation lab, including workflow, safety, tidiness, and inventory control.
  • Perform and promote 5S practices to maintain an efficient and presentable workspace.
  • Work creatively to solve problems and develop unique solutions for team goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 2+ years of automation experience in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Hands-on skill in fault finding and mechanical system troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A codes (preferred).
  • PLC and HMI programming experience or familiarity with ladder logic and structured text, including Beckhoff Twincat, Siemens TIA, and Allen-Bradley RSLogix (preferred).
  • Experience with electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated equipment using EPLAN Electrical/Fluid and Visio or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with electrical control panel design, building, and wiring (preferred).
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred).
  • Must be able to acquire forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and perform standing, climbing, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying tasks.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or able to obtain required authorization.
