Role Description

This position is responsible for calling existing and new dental customers to grow their business using targeted promotions and pricing. This role will be responsible for achieving incremental sales growth from strategic targets.

  • Service target accounts across all product categories to increase sales in existing and new accounts.
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process and sell targeted, promotional items.
  • Lead targeted accounts to growth to allow them to progress through the sales management lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with management to determine strategic sales approaches and objections/roadblocks.
  • Promote the AAOMS partnership and other targeted pricing programs.
  • Sell complimentary services such as compliance training, inventory management systems, and Rx destruction to provide customer loyalty and downstream value as well as increase share of wallet and ROI.
  • Support marketing efforts such as tradeshows, exhibits, and other events with travel and preparation activities.
  • Work within pricing guidelines to secure revenue and GP growth that is profitable.
  • Document all efforts and status for each assigned account to optimize all sales and marketing opportunities and sales results.
  • Communicate product gaps, competitive data, new service opportunities, and pricing objectives to leadership.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales Support, and Supplier Management to understand inventory, product shortages, product lines, and promotions.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues and maintain accurate notes and information.
  • Provide excellent customer service for assigned accounts in addition to improving sales initiatives.
  • Responsible for quotes and price comparisons (Truecost). Understands pricing margin.
  • Ability to learn and utilize Power BI.
  • Work with all personnel to satisfy clients and achieve company goals.
  • Perform routine follow up calls as needed or scheduled based on the strategic plan.
  • Use company-provided metrics and reporting as the basis for communication with management.
  • Travel, as needed, but not limited to customer visits, tradeshows, business meetings, etc.
  • Perform any other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and time management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Good attitude, high energy level, comfortable performing projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse personalities.
  • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Resourceful, well organized, dependable, efficient, detailed oriented, and adaptable to change.

Requirements

  • Typically 1 or more years of Customer Service experience.
  • 3 years of sales experience is preferred.
