Title: Healthcare Data Analyst- Power BI Location: Chicago and New Jersey Duration: 6+ Months About The Role This engagement focuses on converting the BugTrack issue‑management Excel extract into a comprehensive, interactive Power BI dashboard for leadership visibility and operational decision‑making.

The consultant will collaborate with the business, HIT, IT, and operational teams to define reporting requirements and translate them into a scalable data model and intuitive visualizations. Metrics will include (but are not limited to) total tickets opened/closed, aging of open tickets, ticket type and category distribution, priority trends, facility‑level insights, EPMO‑related tickets, and a dedicated AVATAR ticket dashboard (opened, closed, maintenance). The consultant will build automated refresh processes, apply data‑quality checks, and deliver a polished dashboard ready for leadership review.

The resource may also be engaged in other Power BI work related to DBHDS as it arises if time in needed.

Key Tasks Conduct requirements workshops with the business, HIT, IT, and operational stakeholders

Review and validate the BugTrack Excel extract structure

Build a Power BI data model optimized for large datasets

Develop visualizations for ticket volume, aging, type, category, priority, facility, and AVATAR metrics

Create filters, drill‑downs, and role‑based views

Establish refresh logic and data‑quality validation steps

Iterate with stakeholders to refine usability and accuracy

Mentor and train DBHDS identified SMEs for long-term maintenance

Create and develop documentation supporting the dashboards

Deliverables Requirements document and dashboard mockups

Power BI data model and transformation scripts

Fully developed BugTrack dashboard with leadership‑ready visuals

Documentation for refresh processes and data definitions

Knowledge‑transfer session with internal staff
