Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking enthusiastic and energetic Event Assistants to support weekend events, perfect for college students seeking valuable hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in the events, marketing, and hospitality industries. As an Event Assistant, you will work alongside experienced event coordinators to ensure smooth operations, guest engagement, and timely execution of event activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of event venues (booths, signage, tables, etc.)

  • Greet and direct event attendees, answering questions and providing support

  • Manage event registration desks and distribute promotional materials

  • Support vendors, speakers, and performers with logistics

  • Monitor event flow and escalate any issues to the supervisor

  • Collect feedback from guests and help with post-event reporting

  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor throughout the event

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any major)

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-energy environments

  • Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality

  • Basic organizational and problem-solving abilities

Experience
