Provide corrective cleansing action for rooms and public areas while engaged in contact with staff, visitors, patients and patient's families as needed. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas.Responsible for timely cleaning of rooms, floors in corridors and other assigned areas to meet established cleanliness and infection control standards. EVS Floor Tech is to ensure cleansing standards are according to the Association for Health Care Environment (AHE) publication Practice Guidance for Health Care Environmental Cleaning policies as the EVS Tech 1 is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and patient experience.</p><p>Responsibilities:<br />* Performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpeting. Complete special cleaning projects such as carpet cleaning / shampooing, carpet extraction, floor finish removal and application, wall washing and other similar duties such as cleaning stairwell and elevators and hanging of curtains.<br />* Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management and infection control standards while promoting a culture of safety.<br />* Inspect equipment used and clean and maintain to ensure proper functioning; have repairs made as needed.<br />* Operates all equipment with care and according to facility and manufacturers safety standards and procedures.<br />* Remove waste and transport to appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste stream (i.e. regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous).<b style="font-size:1.6rem;background-color:transparent">How You’ll Be Successful:</b></p><p></p><p></p><p>WORK EXPERIENCE<br />* Under 1-year housekeeping experience and a need to demonstrate effective use of computers and/or movable devices for job performance activities preferred<br /><br />EDUCATION<br />* High school diploma or GED preferred<br /><br />LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS<br />* The Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE): Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) preferred <br /><br /> </p><p><b>A Place Where You Belong</b><br /> </p><p>We put our people first.
