This is a remote position. <br><br><strong>What you'll do:</strong><ul><li>Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes based on medical documentation</li><li>Ensure compliance with CMS, payer-specific, and regulatory coding guidelines</li><li>Review provider documentation for completeness and query providers when clarification is needed</li><li>Maintain productivity and quality standards</li><li>Conduct internal coding audits (retrospective and/or concurrent)</li><li>Track audit findings and support quality improvement initiatives</li><li>Investigate/resolve coding related issues</li><li>Review and resolve coding related denials and rejections</li><li>Support appeal processes with coding validation and documentation review</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to improve first-pass resolution rates</li></ul><div><strong>What you'll bring to Zotec:</strong><ul><li>Current Certification – AHIMA or AAPC</li><li>Completed ICD10 Certification/Training, preferred</li><li>2+ years of experience coding Primary Care or Urgent Care coding reports</li><li>Experience working coding denials</li><li>Ability to work on internet-based coding programs</li><li>Thorough knowledge of medical office operations</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Outlook and Excel</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Capable of prioritizing workflow and able to ensure deadlines are met</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li></ul></div><p>At Zotec, you will enjoy a network of highly experienced professionals in an environment where you can operate with autonomy yet have the resources and backing of other professionals in a similar role.
