Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position. </li><li>Location: Some NSW site travel required (Port Macquarie, Liverpool clinical campuses), but flexible working considered. <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>UNSW Discipline of Nursing <br><br></strong>The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is establishing a Discipline of Nursing within the School of Population Health. The first nursing program to be developed is the Graduate Entry Master of Nursing Program, that will commence in 2028.<br><br><strong>The Opportunity <br><br></strong>The Program Lead for Nursing provides academic, strategic, and operational leadership for nursing programs at UNSW, driving excellence in research, innovative teaching, and engagement. The role focuses on developing and enhancing high-quality nursing education, strengthening clinical partnerships, and advancing interdisciplinary research and workforce development. It plays a key role in shaping the future of nursing at UNSW, ensuring alignment with national priorities, workforce needs, and UNSW’s Progress for All strategy.<br><br><strong>Key Skills And Experience Required<br><br></strong><ul><li>A PhD in Nursing or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.</li><li>A strong record in research and obtaining external funding.</li><li>Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).</li><li>Experience with curriculum accreditation and alignment with NMBA and TEQSA standards is desirable.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.</li><li>Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning.</li><li>Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others, with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.</li><li>Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work and influence across disciplines.</li><li>Proven leadership of research projects and leadership of research teams, including high quality supervision of honours and postgraduate research projects.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to lead by example in supporting equal opportunity and equity, diversity and inclusion policy and programs as they relate to staff and students.<br><br><br></li></ul><em>Full details can be found in the position description.<br><br></em><strong>UNSW Benefits and Culture: </strong>People are at the core of everything we do.
