This is an early career role responsible for translating software requirements into well-designed solutions; working with 'off the shelf' software, modifying it and integrating it into the existing architecture; and maintaining programs for business applications.  </p> <h3><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations.</li> <li>Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</li> <li>Create, analyze, review, and modify programs for data processing and applications using JHA Symitar PowerOn programming language.</li> <li>Utilizes sound software development life cycle (SDLC) practices and accurately follows established procedures for delivering application solutions that support critical business strategies.</li> <li>Collaborates with third-party vendors to ensure the seamless implementation, maintenance, and support of software and hardware that integrates with Symitar and other applications.</li> <li>Commits application configuration updates to stage / test environment and plans for rollbacks.</li> <li>Troubleshoots issues and resolving incidents in support of existing production applications and initiates action to correct quality problems or notifies others of issues as appropriate.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Reports to: </strong></h3> <p>Application Development Manager</p> <h3><strong>Manages:</strong></h3> <p>This role does not have supervisory responsibility.</p> <h3><strong>Required Education and Experience:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more programming languages supporting enterprise financial institution platforms.</li> <li>Experience in a financial institution developing and supporting business applications environments.</li> <li>Experience in systems analysis, application development, testing, technical documentation, job scheduling, and report writing.</li> <li>Fundamental understanding of and experience with at least one of the following areas: Retail Operations, Lending Operations, Financial Backoffice Operations.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>One (1) year experience with financial institution technologies: FIS, Fiserv, FIS – Corelation KeyStone, Finastra, Jack Henry (Symitar, Synapsys, Synergy, SymXchange, ARCU), Alkami, COTS, Image Center, OpCon, etc.</li> <li>Technical hands-on experience with Jack Henry Symitar proprietary programming (PowerOn/RepGen), SQL development for relational databases, HTML, and Java Script.</li> <li>Ability to program in at least one programming language, such as C#, Java, PHP, COBOL, or RPG, HTML, JavaScript etc.</li> <li>Command of one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).</li> <li>Familiarity with the Unix operating system, Unix shell scripting, or similar.</li> <li>Project management experience in an iterative project management methodology. Ie. Agile, Scum, Kanban.</li> <li>Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification, or previous work within an ITIL environment.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Work Environment:</strong></h3> <p>Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe.
