<p><b>Role:</b> Assembly Technician (Motorsport Gearbox or Transmissions)</p> <p><b>Location:</b> Leamington Spa, MTC - On-site</p> <p><b>Contract type:</b> Up to 6 months contract</p> <p><b>Job ID:</b> 2026-3325</p> <p><b>Rate:</b> £18.00 - £20.00 per hour</p> <p>Ricardo’s Performance Products division are seeking an Assembly Technician on a contract basis. You will be responsible for the preparation and build of gearboxes and axles for low volume, high value driveline systems for a variety of customers within motorsports.</p> <p><b>Knowledge and experience required:</b></p> <ul> <li>Good mechanical assembly and/or test skills.</li> <li>The ability to prioritise tasks, organise work, and make sound decisions.</li> <li>Navigate systems and processes while undertaking a range of tasks.</li> <li>Knowledge of quality standards, equipment management and maintenance.</li> <li>Problem solving skills and the awareness to elevate larger problems.</li> <li>Support investigations and contributes ideas for continuous improvement.</li> <li>Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above).</li> <li>Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience.</li> <li>Assembly and / or end of line test experience of mechanical and hydraulic systems.</li> <li>Ability to use measurement equipment such as vernier, micrometer etc.</li> <li>Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills – good working knowledge of MS office.</li> <li>Good organisational skills.
