About the position

As an Analyst – Recommerce Resale - Bulk Liquidation you will support the execution and day-to-day management of Target’s bulk liquidation program, partnering across teams to shape strategy and deliver strong business outcomes. This role is responsible for maximizing recovery value from large-scale manifested and unmanifested inventory by supporting disposition approaches and vendor execution, and aligning on the most effective liquidation pathways. Success in this role comes from strong execution and collaboration—bringing together the right partners, using data to inform decisions, and continuously improving how bulk inventory is managed and sold across the network.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution and performance of the bulk recommerce business, including revenue, recovery, vendor pricing, and inventory flow
  • Support vendor sourcing and onboarding, including identifying, onboarding, and developing a network of bulk liquidation partners; allocate volume across vendors based on capacity, geographic coverage, and performance
  • Partner with Reverse Field Operations and Transportation to align on and support execution of bulk liquidation strategies and ensure efficient inventory flow
  • Support vendor compliance and manage disputes and claims, including dispute and claims management and adherence to contractual terms
  • Monitor performance across the program, tracking key metrics (e.g., volume, income per unit, recovery rate) and leading actions to improve outcomes
  • Identify performance trends and support improvement opportunities to improve recovery and expand bulk liquidation capabilities

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience such as Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Merchandising, Planning, or Analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on execution and drive tasks to completion with attention to detail
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and willingness to learn in a dynamic business environment
