Location: Orlando, FL, USA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Reports To: Repair Lead / Mobile Technician
Travel: Occasional (with field support team)
Position Summary
The Apprentice supports mobile repair operations through hands-on assistance, tooling organization, parts handling, and basic maintenance tasks under direct supervision. This is a developmental role leading toward a full Aircraft Technician pathway through training and experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Support
  • Assist technicians with basic tasks such as panel removal, cleaning, and component preparation.
  • Support inspections and repairs under supervision.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting tasks as training progresses.
  • Tooling & Inventory
  • Maintain tool control, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Prepare parts, consumables, and documentation for field visits.
  • Assist with loading/unloading mobile service vehicles.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Help prepare work orders, checklists, and maintenance records.
  • Follow all company safety policies and field procedures.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Customer Support
  • Interact professionally with customers as needed.
  • Support technicians with on-site logistics and setup.
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aviation maintenance.
  • High school diploma or technical program enrollment.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
  • Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Experience with hand tools, automotive or mechanical work.
  • Currently working towards an A&P certification or a recent graduate with said certification. (Highly Preferred)
  • Compensation
  • This position has a starting pay range of $28.00 to $36.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
