Bracco Diagnostics Inc. is committed to the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of imaging agents and solutions aimed at providing a better use and management in terms of diagnostic efficacy, patient safety and cost effectiveness.</span></p><p></p>Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant plays a key role in the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses within the North America Finance Shared Services organization. This position collaborates closely with finance team members and stakeholders across North American legal entities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and reporting.<p><b><span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </span></b><span>include the following: </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules, and perform financial analyses related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepare, review, and analyze account reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support interim and year-end external audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries</span></p></li><li><p><span>Review and analyze prepaid expense accounts to ensure proper accounting treatment and timely expense recognition</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain fixed asset registers and generate related reporting </span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide depreciation forecast information to the Financial Planning team upon request </span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly support as needed related to the capital acquisition process</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and accurately</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain shared services performance levels</span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepare intercompany balance confirmations report on a quarterly basis   </span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist in ad-hoc projects (e.g. to streamline, automate and simplify various G/L activities)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide general accounting support in other day-to-day responsibilities</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to support a strong internal control environment and operational consistency.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>CORE COMPETENCIES:  </span></b><span>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
